• Ken and Laura have been married 20 years, have 6 children and have served in ministry most of the last 20 years primarily as pastors (youth, associate, lead preaching) at Bethany Church in Bloomington, MN. Ken also served as director of Bethany Global University from 2006-2009 and was ordained through Bethany Church in 2003 and has a degree in Intercultural Studies and Bible.

During the early 2000’s while serving as youth pastors, God opened a door to reach out to teenagers in Jordan in addition to the families at Bethany Church. Ken and Laura regularly bussed 30 to 40 kids up to youth service on Wednesday nights and grew to love their Jordan neighbors. They had at many times thought God would have them plant a church in Jordan but until recently, it wasn’t time. In 2013, needing more space for a growing business, their family moved to Jordan without really doing so for strategic ministry reasons. They have grown again to love Jordan but now not as neighbors, but as a community. Their 6 children attend school in Jordan and they call it home.

  • Clint grew up in MN and graduated from Northwestern in the Twin Cities. His passion for preaching and declaring the gospel is unmatched. He runs a local sports memorabilia store while also helping with his family’s tree farm business in the winter months.

  • Neal has been married to his wife Natasha for 12 years and they have 4 children ages 11 and under. He spent 11 years serving as the Youth Pastor at Bethany Church in Bloomington. Neal is passionate about teenagers truly counting the cost for their faith and he loves building communities where families who are doing life together can thrive and work together in discipleship and intercession. His heart is to see the Body of Christ equipped to faithfully persevere in this life while placing their hope in the promise of the age to come. Neal and his family run a small farm south of Jordan and are excited to serve the Jordan area in ministry.

  • Julie, a transplant from Orlando, Florida, has lived in MN since 2009. She is married to her husband, Matt, and they have three kids whom she homeschools. Her heart has been drawn towards children’s ministry since her first mission trip as a 17-year-old. Since then, she has taught, volunteered and served in various ministry contexts with kids of all ages. Her desire at JFC is for all children to know the goodness of God in their own lives and experience His deep love for them as they gather to learn and grow together.

  • Andy has been ministering to youth since 2017 when he served as a missionary in the Twin Cities for Side By Side Ministries. His work with Side By Side led him to Jordan, MN in 2020. Working with the youth of Jordan during the COVID-19 pandemic opened his eyes to the many ways that God is moving in the town of Jordan. This inspired him to make a permanent move to Jordan and join the launch team for Jordan Family Church where he now serves as the High School Pastor.

Andy is a huge proponent of Youth Ministry being a collective, community-wide effort where students can be served through various outlets and by members of the body of Christ that come from all walks of life. His prayer and hope for the youth of Jordan is that the example of their community would cause the Gospel to be embedded in their hearts, so they can grow from youth to young adults equipped to continue growing in Christ in the years ahead.

  • Dave is married to Janet. They’ve been married 24 years, have 5 kids and two dogs. Never a dull moment! He works at MSP airport for Delta Airlines and runs his own residential painting company, Horsman Paint Co. He really enjoys these manual labor jobs and working with his hands. His desire for our church family is that we would experience the grace of God as we gather together to worship on Sundays and feel encouraged to live out a life of giving ourselves for others.

  • Nathan and Karen (Pahl) have been married for 22 years, have 4 children and 2 cute dogs. Nathan was born in Australia where he met his wife while she was studying abroad for a semester, which lead to him moving to Jordan in early 2002 to be married.

Nathan has served/ran in various youth ministries over the last 28 years, from Australia to Minnesota.

During his teenage years he never connected with any sort of ministry. In his early 20s, he walked back into a church where his sister was attending and eventually became the Youth Pastor there while attending bible college. Looking back over his teenage years, he sees that those years were critical years where he never had people investing into his life, encouraging his faith or decision making, and that is a big part of why he is passionate now to serve teenagers. Nathan’s greatest desire is for young people to know they have a purpose, that following Christ can be fun and while it isn’t always perfect, life is far more rewarding with God as your foundation.

Nathan encourages all young people to join Unleashed on Wednesday nights, to experience a place to be loved and challenged.
